Kebab Korner located inside Howard Johnson Hotel, is one of the restaurants that serves mouth watering Indian delicacies with live music sessions, which starts during evening sessions. Well missed it this time as I went during afternoon hours.
Overall ambience of the restaurant gives the feel of a red background with dim lighting. Cozy seating arrangements is what I noticed and even you have that sofa type seating fit for families.
We were served with Pappad and mint sauce for complimentary, Zayan happily had the Pappad. For Shuruat, as in for drinks we had the Fresh Watermelon, Pineapple and Sweet Lassi. It was fresh indeed and refreshing.
Ordered for green salad, its always good to fill your stomach with leaves and cucumber, so that you don’t order so much. It was presented well on a platter.
Next on from the Kebab – E – Khass menu, from the Murga (Chicken) side we ordered the Murg Lassoni Kebab, I guess the main flavours you are going to get is of garlic and other special ingredients. I would definitely say it was soft, tender and delicous.
From the Gosht (Lamb) side, we ordered the Lamb Kakori Kebab, its an awadhi speciality where minced lamb is flavoured with saffron, rose petals and cooked in a skewer. Well as the description says, it really tasted succulent.
Now for the mains we went on to try Sindhi Mutton, as the name suggests its made in Sindhi style, along with it we went on to order Lacha Paratha, Romali Roti and Stuffed Aloo Paratha. I would definitely recommend this combo.
For the dessert we went on to try Shahi Tukra and Kulfi Falooda. I would definitely say Shahi Tukra my favourite, since the bread were fried, soaked in saffron milk dressed with thickened sweet milk, later on garnished with nuts and silver leaf, what more do you want. Anzi likes the Kulfi Falooda, even she recommended it.
Overall the experience was good and we missed the live music session, until next time.
